The Pure Heart of a Child

Pure Heart is a shrine and fan site dedicated to a very specific incarnation of Link from the Legend of Zelda series: the Hero of Time. This shrine was inspired by Amassment's Construction Zone event. I proudly present this shrine to you as part of Sutarodo. Pure Heart initially opened on October 13, 2016.

This is probably the third or fourth layout I've uploaded for this shrine! I was inspired to work with wood patterns and trees because Kokiri Forest. Texture credit goes to lovewillbiteyou and Creative Market!

There are a lot of people I want to thank. Firstly, I want to thank nearly all of my friends for letting me spam about Zelda timeline lore, either on Twitter or Discord. I know that I can be annoying and overbearing at times when it comes to this series. More specifically, I want to extend my gratitude to so many people that helped me get this site to this point. While it's still growing, it would not be even remotely near this point without the help from many of the friends I've made. Thank you Lethe and Destinie for being a huge help and reading everything. Thanks Masao for helping troubleshoot layout and not judging me for sobbing over it for an hour. Finally, thank you Crystal and Cherri for all of your support for this shrine and for helping out with multiple parts; it means a great deal to me.

The name Pure Heart comes directly from a quote in Ocarina of Time:

If you want to proceed to the past, you should return here with the pure heart of a child.

I really wanted a name that reflects Young Link's innocence because that's one of his defining features as the young Hero. The purpose of this shrine was to portray this pure-hearted character in a manner to learn why he lived with so much regret that he became the Hero's Shade, unable to move on until he passed down his legacy.
